Lebanon Foundation

Mission:
The Lebanon Foundation aims to provide a forum for the friends of Lebanon to write, speak and meet openly and creatively to identify what must be done to create a Lebanese nation-state;

a country that is fully modern, democratic, unified and at peace;

a country in which Lebanese citizenship becomes the dominant form of political identity, respecting while eclipsing sectarian identities;

a country where a truly free economy and effective, honest government give all Lebanese a positive stake in Lebanon’s future and an incentive to remain in Lebanon as part of the Lebanese nation.

Objective:
The Lebanon Foundation’s objective is to fill the gap in strategic thinking about Lebanon’s future; to supplement in a completely nonpartisan and independent manner, the work of Lebanese and their friends whose efforts in these times of turmoil and danger must necessarily focus on near-term challenges. A Lebanon where all Lebanese are equal under the law.
